Hydro K follows London dancer Kelsey, whose relationship with movement was profoundly shaped by his experience of surviving Hodgkin lymphoma.
What interested me about Kelsey was not what he had been through, but the way it had changed how he chose to live afterwards. Dance became more than a form of expression or a career - it became a way of reconnecting with his body, processing his experience and finding freedom in movement.
Hydro K is a film about resilience, but also gratitude - and the freedom that comes from discovering just how precious it is to be here.
